This has forced me to de-lurk. What does this whole badly
written essay have to do with anything? So far the only reaction GDW
seems to have had to posts to the mailing list is to fix the design
sequences for plasma/fusion weapons.

Club 3 (10) Liaison 1 (4)
Slug Pistol 3 (10) Research 1 (8)

Possessions : a large web of medical and criminal contacts
about 2.4 BCr, in laundered accounts
several regal estates on Menorb, Efate, Whanga, Ruie and Regina
(many bought from recently impoverished nobles)
his very own island chain on Whanga
illegal biotech and prostitution operations throughout Regina
                 subsector
several small legitimate biotech firms on Efate

Family: most of his family is involved in his operations in one way or
another, and form the nucleous of his command structure. The
people that he really trusts, though, are his three clones.
Equipped with regularily updated copies of his personality, they
are his top aides, and reside on Efate, Menorb, and Regina. He
himself prefers to remain on Whanga.

Apperance: Heavy-set, but with hard muscle underneath the flab.
Red-brown skin tone, crew-cut brown hair, and hazel eyes are set
on a brick of a head. Dresses *very* well, but still looks
           and moves like a thug.

Personality: The strong, silent type. Carefully plans every move, then
does whatever it takes to see it through. Has the ability to
see "The big picture", and how to profit from it. He's
also rather lucky (a +3 on every difficult or crucial
task), which comes in handy in his business.

History: Always hungered to `make it big', and get out of his cronically
depressed megalopolis. Dimling started out as a small-time organ
dealer, arranging the illegal sale of blood and kidneys.
Eventually took over the business: developed and extended "Organ
harvesting" to target the ill, street people and especially
untended children (who's organs go for the highest prices on
         the black market).

After branching into less-than-reputable hospitals, he's now
believed to operate a "medical testing centre" - with sentients
as testing subjects - somewhere in Uthe/Gvurrdon: the
subsector govenour's Justice Commission: Syndicate Branch
        suspect's Orsesokhin (Uthe: Gvurrdon/2323 A000874-F G Cx Na As
210 Ve M5 V M2 II), the capital of the coreward Thonengling Raghz
("Thoengling Empire" in the local Vargr dialect), as the most
       likely site.

Currently, Mr. Dimling is attempting to recify his only noticable
failure: his every attempt to take over Whanga for his own
purposes has been repeatedly countered by the local
democartically-elected Resident (the local nobility he has in his
pocket): he came close to staging a favourable coup, but something
went wrong, and he had to back off or face the wrath of the Regent
himself (who just happens to be subsector Duke, and is not
pleased with how Dimling corrupted the local Nobility)

             A pension from Tirem, of 23,100 Cr/year
A reserve commision in his nation's Air Force

Family: A wife on Tirem, five grown kids (one in the Regency Navy)

Name: According to his culture, he's to be refered to by
... his Anglic name when outside of Tirem system
... his Chinese name when insystem
... his Vilani name by the nobility (regardless of where he is)

Organisation: The Ranger Corporation is a scout/exploration company, the
largest now operating in the Spinward Marches. Currently has 20 scouts,
and one scout tender. Based on Mora/Mora/Spinward Marches.

Appearance: a gentle, nondescript man in his mid-forties. Of clear
Solomani caucasian/oriental decent, with brown wavy hair growing gray
on his temples. Bates dresses neatly and comfortably.

Personality & History: Usually quiet and unassuming, Mr. Bates is an
unlikely scout: he didn't even leave his home system till the age of 41.
However, after he retired he decided to "tour a bit of hte Regency" and
signed on with Ranger Corp. as a scout.

His willingness to help, natural shyness and extreme skill in piloting
endeared Bated to the crew of the Second Guess.

While docked at one of Ruie's downports the crew decided to hit the bars,
after trying unsuccessfuly to get Bates to join them. They never returned.
The local police has not found a trace of them in two weeks of searching,
and suspect that they have left the planet. Bates has contingency order
to return to Mora, and is already looking for a crew to take the Second
Guess home. However, he would love to make one last effort to find his
shipmates.

I know that two Alien's list have been posted here, but I'm going to ask
this question anyway:

Can anyone here post an alien list, but only for the
Domain of Deneb? [the "Domain" because I'm including the
             Regency surrounds.]

Basically, I'd like to know what aliens can PC's in the Regency can have
a chance to meet, besides the Asla,, Vargr, and Darrians. (and, off the
top of my head, the Jonkeereen and the Jundy).

Thank you. If you don't care to clutter the list , please email me.

I posted some questions about ground and hover vehicle design to
the list two weeks ago and really didn't receive a response. Since I use
TNE rules in a non-Imperial campaign, the recent subject matter on this list
doesn't help me much. Are there other Traveller lists with more
technically oriented people? I believe there used to be a TML-beta list
which was devoted to FF&S, does anyone know if it still exists and how to
join? Thank you.

If one good thing comes out of the New Era for Imperial/regency fans,
it's that we are going to get a lot more detail about our favourate piece
of the stars. Assuming that GDW will do the sourcebook the _right_ way, of
course...

Incidentally, what is the _right_ way for GDW to do the job? Personally,
I'm hoping for
   A) a good overview of Regency politics and basic political structure
   B) a subsector-by-subsector breakdown + descriptions of the Regency
   C) perhaps a brief survey of the most important systems
   D) an outline of the major culture-groups in the Regency
   E) a good, highly detailed description of Regina subsector.

Folks, I want to apologize for my data dump into a recent digest.
I _did_ intend for the whole shebang to appear in the digest, but
_not_ as eight messages, and _certainly_ not in the order in
which they actually appeared. Thank a less-than-perfect mail
reader/poster for that... As far as the WP codes in the SJG
license, well, that's the way I got it, and I don't believe in
  altering text that I'm quoting.

I _do_ want to know GDW's position on the issue, and I _did_ want
to make people aware that not everyone takes the TSR stance. If
that question and that point got across, I'm satisfied.

In case I neglected to mention it in the data dump, I want to
publically thank Jim Vassilakos for (a) posting his FASA/Chaosium
information publically, and (b) giving me permission, nay,
encouragement, to repost it to the Lists.
